Drive-in racking: compact storage for large volumes
For Vlamings, MDO Group completed the installation of drive-in pallet racking. With this solution, the available warehouse space is used to its full potential, creating a compact storage environment for large volumes of identical goods.
Drive-in racking is particularly suitable for bulk storage. Because forklifts drive directly into the racking channels, fewer aisles are needed compared to traditional pallet racking. This allows a larger part of the available floor space to be used for storage.
The system works according to the LIFO principle, where the last pallet placed is the first to be retrieved. This makes the solution ideal for goods with limited product variation and a high storage density.
