BMS – Relocation and Reconfiguration of Pallet Racking
For BMS, a family-owned company specializing in transport, assembly deliveries, express shipments, and warehousing, MDO Group carried out a complete reconfiguration of the existing pallet racking system. The original narrow aisle layout was transformed into a wide aisle configuration, resulting in a smoother logistics flow, greater flexibility, and more efficient use of the warehouse space.
The choice between narrow and wide aisles has a significant impact on the day-to-day operation of a warehouse. While narrow aisles are primarily designed to maximize storage capacity, wide aisles provide more room for forklifts and internal transport. This allows goods to be moved more quickly and makes loading, unloading, and order picking more efficient and easier to manage.
MDO Group managed the entire project from start to finish: dismantling the existing racking, relocating frames, beams, and wire mesh decks, reorganizing the warehouse layout, and reinstalling the pallet racking according to the new configuration. MDO Group also supplied all additional materials required for the modifications.
Thanks to a detailed project plan, experienced installation teams, and the use of the appropriate lifting equipment, the project was completed safely, efficiently, and in a structured manner. With minimal disruption to daily operations, the warehouse was gradually prepared for a future-proof logistics flow.
The result is a warehouse layout that better meets BMS's operational requirements. The wider aisles provide greater maneuverability, faster product handling, and more flexible use of the available storage space.
With this comprehensive approach, MDO Group once again demonstrates its expertise as a reliable partner for warehouse relocations, racking installation, and warehouse reconfiguration. From planning to execution, every stage of the project was focused on safety, efficiency, and future growth.
