Installation of fully automatic pharmacy robots
MDO Technics recently started installing robots in the pharmaceutical sector, commissioned by the manufacturer Meditech. Installing pharmacy robots represents an additional challenge for the MDO team in the exciting evolution towards fully automated goods management.
The Meditech laying robot is a feat of top technology, developed to the highest standards within pharmacy automation. With its shelves and minimum robot width, it guarantees the highest possible capacity on minimal floor space. In addition, the pharmacy robot offers numerous features including:
- Multi picking (handling several different packs at the same time)
- Large capacity (up to 45,000 packs with average box size of L104 x W50 x H30)
- Close stock management (electronic sizing and specification recognition and expiry date control)
